Yes. We are currently the only supplier in Belgium that offers diapers produced 100% climate neutrally. Our production is completely carbon-neutral and we use only FSC-certified raw materials sourced from responsibly managed forests. Our diapers do not contain recyclate of unknown origin, but consist of raw materials of natural and known origin. The thin design also means that less material is needed per diaper, resulting in a lower carbon footprint - without sacrificing comfort, quality or absorbency. 👉 Thus, we actively contribute to forest conservation and minimize environmental impact.

Wat gebeurt er met de wegwerpluiers en ander restafval?

Because there is not yet a separate waste stream for disposable diapers, today they are processed together with the rest of the residual waste. One residual waste container is therefore sufficient for all waste - providing a simple and efficient solution for nurseries. The diapers and residual waste are taken to a waste-to-energy plant, where they are burned. This process produces heat that can be used for electricity or district heating. After incineration, any remaining materials are further processed and recycled wherever possible. Although there is already talk of diaper recycling, as of today, no diapers are effectively recycled. At Out Of Diapers, we offer an all-in service: we not only supply our sustainable diapers, but also provide waste containers for residual waste as well as other waste streams such as PMD, paper & cardboard, organic waste and glass. In this way, we take the entire waste management out of the nursery's hands - simply, conveniently and efficiently. Should Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg introduce separate waste streams for diapers in the future - for example, with the advent of true diaper recycling - we will also integrate this into our existing waste collection with our partner Afval Alternatief
